Famgroup

I was the European Representative at Famgroup, a management company in Montréal, from 2012-2021. Having stayed with the company since my internship in 2012, I owe much of my experience to Famgroup and Heidi Fleming, who has been a mentor to me for many years.

Over the last 9 years, I worked on booking and producing tours of many award-winning Canadian artists, including JUNO award winners François Bourassa and Christine Jensen. I also represented Famgroup at conferences such as jazzahead, Showcase Scotland, ECMA and WOMEX and was involved in evaluating and reporting on the organisation’s activities for core grant applications. Check out the Famgroup roster here.

Reviews for concerts I booked for the François Bourassa Quartet:

“…a close-knit understanding, creating a feel of perpetual motion”

- Rob Adams, Jazzwise, Glasgow live review 2018

“They sound great as a unit, phrase firmly and make each note count while following the rigorous terrain that Bourassa has constructed.”

- Mike Hobart, Financial Times, London live review, 2013

“Highly impressive performance of powerful yet fluidly lyrical music straddling post-bop, free improvisation and contemporary classical music.”

- Matthew Wright, London Jazz News, London live review, 2013
